Dr. Kim Paulo Briones Lacdao (DDM 2015) is LPU Batangas’ first board topnotcher for year 2016. Lacdao placed 8th in the January 5, 2016 Dentist Licensure Exam, results of which were released by the Professional Regulation Commission two days after.  Eleven other College of Dentistry Alumni also passed the said licensure examination they are as follows:

Ramos Jr., LPU-Batangas’ Executive Director for Linkages and International Affairs was elected  as Vice President for Luzon of the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Philippines during the International Conference on Student Mobility Across Asia Pacific Region held at Bulacan State University in Malolos, January 14, 2016. UMAP is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education (university) sector in the region. Interested LPU alumni and faculty members the Suranaree University of Technology in Thailand opens its scholarship program for nationals of ASEAN Countries which include the Philippines. Ph.D.  Scholarships for Bachelors Degree holders and Masters Degree holders can be availed provided that applicants meet the GPAX and have relevant English written research publication in a standard international journal. They must also possess proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS) and be of good health. Deadline of submission of proofs of eligibility is on March 31, 2016. Scholarship applicants have to submit their application together with all required documents and mail them to: The Center for International affairs, Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand 30000. The seminar on information security and ethical hacking was spearheaded by Mr. John Ruero, President of the Information Systems Security Association – Philippine Chapter (ISSA-PH). Mr. Alex Madlangbayan, Director of Management Information Systems of LPU Batangas and Laguna together with his fellow IT Directors namely Ms. Jerian Peren  of LPU Cavite and Ms. Devy Galang of LPU Manila and their respective staff attended the said activity.

Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas was awarded as “Best Tertiary Education Institution” in the 36th People’s Choice 2016 Most Trusted Consumers Brand Awards, at the AFP Grand Theater in Quezon City, January 29, 2016.

The National Consumer Affairs Foundation spearheaded the said awarding ceremony which recognized big brands like Dencio’s, Karimadon, Palafox, Figlia and Cocolife. People’s Choice Awards is acknowledged as the country’s pioneer consumer’s tribute to outstanding companies, products and achievers since 1980. LPU Batangas was recognized for quality tertiary education and commitment to excellence. Medical Technology faculty members from the Mahidol University, Thailand are here in LPU Batangas today February 2, 2016 for the MOU signing with the College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP) for the faculty and student exchange program. Leading the Mahidol team is Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura Na Ayudhya together with Dr. Chotiros Plabplueng and  Dr. Kulachart Jangtaparapongsa. Dr. Esmenia Javier, Executive Vice President led the MOA signing ceremony in the occasion of CAMP Days. This international exchange program involves Japanese Language Communication and Experience in Japanese Culture. It was indeed a successful symposium as the College of Business Administration continued the celebration of their college days today, February 4, 2016 at the LPU Batangas Freedom Hall.

Mr. Tony Meloto, Founder of Gawad Kalinga and Hon. Richard “Dick” Gordon, Former Senator and Chairman of the Philippine Red Cross were the distinguished guest speakers whose talks were about Creating Value through Sustainable Innovation. Both Meloto and Gordon are innovators in their own right. Meloto is an advocate of volunteerism and entrepreneurship while Gordon is a humanitarian advocate whose works made the Philippine Red Cross one of the best in the world.
